Why this site exists, what lives here, and how the two libraries are organized.
hero4hire.com has resolved through Cloudflare and returned a 404 for a long
time. This post is the first thing served from the root instead.
The site holds two kinds of writing, deliberately modelled differently:
- Articles — occasional, dated, read start to finish. This post is one.
- Tech notes — frequent, reference-shaped, read by lookup six months later when I've forgotten the answer I already worked out once. See, for example, restarting a systemd unit or pruning a stale Docker image cache.
Both are statically exported — no server, no database — and both are searchable from one place.
